4 Local Team Building Activities that Support Black-Owned Businesses

1. Happy Hour Arcades & Bowling at Mission Bowling Club

If bowling isn’t already a go-to activity for team bonding, it should be! Owned by local Molly Bradshaw, Mission Bowling has a spacious mezzanine and outdoor patio to host a company happy hour for up to 25 guests. Teams can rent out up to 10 lanes or hit the arcade game machines for some friendly competition after work hours.

2. Office Yoga & DEI Wellness training with Satori Yoga Studio

On a mission to bring wellness into the workplace, Satori Yoga was started by Andrea Stern and offers onsite as well as virtual yoga, meditation and classes for teams. For team leaders, the company also has a “burnout toolkit” and DEI wellness training, as well as weekly wellness coaching check-ins.

3. ”Taproom Takeover” Beer Tasting at San Francisco Speakeasy

Started by Steve Bruce and Forest Gray, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is a craft brewery that recently opened its taproom up for booking. This venue is perfect for bigger groups who want to let down, San Francisco offers groups of up to 47 people the ability to book out the entire taproom for a tasting and private party. For a larger group, you can expand into the parking lot and book out the space for up to 80.

4. Educational Tour at the African American Art & Culture Complex

Looking to get inspired? The African American Art & Culture Complex provides educational tours that focus on African American history and culture in the Bay Area. During these tours, your team will learn about how African Americans have impacted the city of San Francisco through their creativity and activism over the years. Plus, you'll get to explore some amazing art galleries while learning more about the community around you.
