Flexible shifts are based on event bookings, primarily weekday evenings and weekend days. A minimum of 2 shifts per month is required, with shifts typically running around 6 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

On-Site Adult Events: 

Lead and orchestrate corporate team-building classes for groups of 10-80 participants. You'll manage all aspects of event execution, including:

  • Pre-event preparation and kitchen coordination
  • Food prep
  • Team leadership and delegation
  • Creating an engaging, entertaining atmosphere while delivering culinary instruction
  • Ensuring exceptional client experiences and food safety
  • Managing dietary restrictions and special requests
  • Maintaining high energy and professional presence throughout


On-Site Youth Classes & Parties:

Guide and inspire young culinary enthusiasts through:

  • Weekend culinary birthday parties (ages 4-17)
  • Teen summer cooking programs
  • Creating age-appropriate, engaging lessons
  • Maintaining safety and positive group dynamics
  • Adapting teaching styles for different age groups
  • Maintaining a motivated kitchen team with strong communication

Skills + Experience Required

  • Professional culinary training or significant industry experience. We welcome qualified chefs, instructors and students from culinary schools, personal chefs, and retired food service professionals. 
  • Proven experience leading and entertaining groups of 10-40 people
  • Strong teaching abilities and public speaking skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and scheduling applications
  • Reliable transportation to San Francisco locations
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Completed Live Scan background check (upon hire)
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Experience working with diverse age groups (4-17 and adults)

Pay 

Starting at $25-$28 per hour, experience-dependent. Eligibility for monthly tip pooling based on a point system per event worked.
