Overview

Culinary Artistas is seeking a dedicated Camp Cleaner to maintain our youth culinary camps this summer. Founded on the belief that cooking connects us to our cultures and each other, we create engaging experiences that inspire young chefs. As Camp Cleaner, you'll ensure a safe, hygienic environment for our young chefs while supporting our culinary and education teams.

Duration:

June 6th - August 22, 2025 from 10am-3:30pm Monday through Friday. Option to work single day camps 2-3 times/ month Jan-May.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

  • Clean and organize the space
  • Hand-wash, dry, and put away dishes and kitchen equipment throughout the camp
  • Assist kids with bringing dishes to dish sink and cleaning their dish
  • Sanitize counters and bathrooms
  • Ensure all items are in appropriate containers and labeled (write what is inside and the date you stored it). Fridge should be left organized and client-facing ready. 
  • Return tables to adult height (5th peg) if adult classes are following
  • All trash, compost, and recycling bags removed from bins and re-lined.
  • Wipe the top of trash cans if they have spills or stuff stuck to it. 
  • Dispose trash, recycling & compost (pre-separated) at the Ghirardelli Square Loading Dock
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop at end of camp
  • Help return furniture to original configuration
  • Bathroom wiped down and sanitized, including door handles
  • Restock all toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap in the studio
  • Maintain general studio tidiness for event readiness

Skills + Experience Required

  • Experience in professional kitchens or event spaces preferred
  • Comfortable working with individuals of all ages, including teens and kids
  • Familiarity with kitchen and restaurant cleaning systems
  • Ability to communicate in basic English preferred

  • Are reliable, detail-oriented, and proficient at multitasking
  • Work well in a team and are proactive in task completion
  • Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and excellent decision-making
  • Possess a clean and organized working style
  • Comfortable with scheduling via our shift app and reporting back via text on events
  • Have reliable transportation to and from shifts

Pay 

Starting at $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience
